Gathering

Last week itself, I finally have two small gathering with all my secondary school and ex-IA friends. Since when I have ZX, I almost have not met any friends of mine. This is due to the daily routine that I have to carry, basically, from home-work-PIL place-home. I guess this is quite normal for a double income family. It is tiring, but somehow, we do not have much choices unless I were to be a SAHM.

It is always a enjoyable gathering if you really know each other well. We talked about baby, work and somehow, "ghosts". Yeah, CNY still, but we talked about these things. Choy.... 大吉利市 :D

Few of them like me have became father / mother recently. It was almost like a father / mother parenting tips sharing session and somehow, since we have friends who are still single, thus, we have to hold on to our parenting tips session a bit. :)

Great! I like this CNY, for the part that at least I managed to meet up with my long-time-no-see friends. ;)

My Guest Book

Hi, welcome to my guest book.

Been to a several blogs, saw that they have quite a well-setup guest book, so thought that I should have one as well.

I am married to a stubborn Singaporean and am now a working mum who always do day dreaming. I am recently addicted to blogging. I do blog about myself, things that I always wanna do - cooking, and about my baby boy.

My typical work life is from 9 am - 6 pm. Thereafter, I have to rush back to pick my little monster from in-law's place. Literally, I have only 3 hours daily and 24 hours over the weekend to spend solely with my son and with all the household chores to do, I have to train him to play on his own if papa is not around --- this is so difficult!

With the "restriction" above. :) I hope that I can still post some recipes from either my MIL or my mum that I have tried on my own, I know nothing about cooking before I got married, so I will make only simple dishes :D, if you like any of them, do mention it here or just suggest anything for me to improve. :)

Yoyogi Koen (Park) @ Tokyo

My hubby took this video by using his handphone in July @ Yoyogi Koen, Tokyo. Resolution is not so good, but both of us like the music and the way they dance.
They just did not bother about the people / tourists around. They enjoy themselves very much it seems.
I doubt we will find these happen in Singapore.

Handphone

Was rushing down to Vivo to place an order for hand phone. I have never done this kind of thing before. Buying a hand phone just because my hubby likes it, and he has mentioned also my hand phone is old enough to throw away, hee.. but I check, my hand phone is still worth SGD 30 trade-in. For people like me, who needs phone just for call, sms, perhaps a more advance functionality, ie. a torch light function? A simple phone will suit me. :D

Still, I am looking for more things now as people do change. :) Well, if you suddenly are addictive to blogging about child or your own life, youtube. Then, a more advance phone might get you farther.

Change

Was tasked to do coding in the recent project.
No other extra "overhead".
Suddenly feel relief in my life, going home everyday at around 6 - 630 pm.
Bringing baby back home every night, playing with him.

Just realize that life is so good without night conference.

Holidays

Been busy preparing trip to Japan recently in June. I was struggling whether to go Japan or not because of the Mr. Juseleeno's Predictions 2008. Japan has been the place I wish to visit since young. Not only because of the culture difference, it is also a trip that I wish for since my last trip 3 years ago.



Finally, we went to Kyoto and Tokyo from 9 - 18 July. I will be posting some photos as soon as I can.

Meanwhile, the photos are all at Shutterfly currently, the link contains photos from Japan plus some photo ablums from my little baby.



After the trip, I think I am now hoping to go for another one. :D I am now looking forward to Genting trip in Sep. We will bring our little baby with us at that time, am very anxious to see how he will enjoy himself in the theme park or the cold weather in Genting highland. :)

HFMD

Not everyone knows that I had HFMD in April. I guess it really was a "pain" when I had that.

"You might have HFMD" told by doctor.

"You must be kidding" as I thought the doctor is not professional enough, I went to another one nearby my house. Hoping that the first doctor was diagnosing my sympton wrongly.

"Well, I cannot confirm, but to be on safe side, we have to take it as you have HFMD"

What's this? I have to be staying at home and be isolated from others for one week or so? What do I do then? Ha...no work, great, but cannot see baby.....NO.

Ok, well, take it, better than passing the disease to baby later. Watch TV, housework, reading, lunch, dinner, etc. What to do? I can only find things to pass my time during this one whole week.

Day 1, day 2......

On Sunday, before my 2nd checkup, he brought baby "home", he was just standing outside the door, looking at me, my tears went down without control, I just cannot bear with it, though I thought I can take it. He wanted to walk towards me but being stopped by my mum-in-law.

"Mummy will see you tomorrow, mummy is sick now" That is the best thing I can say.

Sunset

Nice pictures taken on the way back from my hubby's company to my in law's place. Wondering when can I really sit down at the beach side to enjoy the sunset again.

Car Scratch

I am so sad about my car, scratched the back yesterday. I did the most stupid thing in my driving history, I should have stopped when I heard the sound.

Found this in the office cabint, I cannot recall if this is gift for my valentine's day or my birthday, it was sweet to receive such a gift during the "pak toh" time.

Time really flies, my baby is soon to be one year old.

Valentine's Day

I can still recall when he picked up flowers "secretly" from the end of the passage way from school wing. We had great memories during uni days. I have poor memory but I still recall pieces from here and there. :)

Though I said I do not care if there is flowers on this day, but still asking him if there is any surprise, the way he reacted is so "cute". :D I will try to memorize your reaction when I am getting older... ;)

多亏同事的启发，让我发觉原来工作之外，还有很多很多。。。

不知道自己有时候在想些什么,都这么迟了,还是那么执着于一些些小的细节。结果，忘了一切，忘了工作之外还有很多事情等着自己，甚至忘了回家的时间…

Management

One of my colleague tendered on 14 Jan, our lunch kakis group is getting smaller and smaller, people keep telling my current company is good, best in welfare, etc.

 

But it is so boring to keep on doing the same things again and again, I didn't go to look at my baby on Monday night, took a "break" from the usal routine, went back straight home, doing some cooking, simple, in fact, just heating up ready made food, boiling water for dumpling. 

 

Suddenly, feel that I should not focus too much on my work, saw this in newspaper, a lady was working so hard that she did not get any promotion or bonus after years, but when she toned down, she got her 4-month bonus by end of the year.

 

Look, life is so unpredictable, I guess "work smart, instead of work hard" will be a better motto for me.

 

 

Year 2008

Soon 2008 is coming, new year, new goal, think I should have some change in my life.

A lazy Friday afternoon

A lazy Friday afternoon, I am looking forward to end of business, just set up the mobile bloging, if you see this message, that means, it's successful :-)

On the way home

Am on the way home, hubby is driving like a crazy taxi driver, am using the laptop and UBS modem to go online now.

Over the last long weekend, have planned the following menu for my baby:

• 6 am - 180 ml milk
• 9 am - 5 tbsp cereal
• 12 noon - porridge with fish / pork + carrot / pumpkin
• 3 pm - apple / 180 ml milk
• 6 pm - porridge with fish / pork + carrot / pumpkin
• 9 pm - 180 ml milk
• 10:30 pm / 11 pm - 180 ml milk

Morning session he is quite ok, but the afternoon session sometimes he does not really "follow".
I guess perhaps it is because the applie is not full filling.

Want to try out the above in the coming weekend, hope he still sticks to the similar timing by then. I feel the menu is lack of veg, but I cannot keep long for the veg, thus, cannot buy much to keep in fridge.

Just realize that we forgot to bring veg from our fridge to in-law's house, guess the corn and the pumpkin will be of no use by the weekend.
